The book is noteworthy for containing a foreword by Professor J.R.R. Tolkien, who would go on to write The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Tolkien seemingly made use of this glossary for his famous works.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0456/6872/8995/files/image_0c86281f-e257-4864-b2e7-97cb66303e49.jpg?v=1774750197
https://rarebooksboutique.com/products/a-new-glossary-of-the-dialect-of-the-huddersfield-district-1928-w-haigh-tolkien
