Signatures: A4 A-E⁸; A-3H⁸ 3I² *⁴ 3K-3Y⁸ 3Z¹⁰ ²A-K⁸ ²L²; A-G⁸. English text in double columns with extensive printed shoulder-notes. Printed in Roman, Italic and Black-Letter. Bound in early blind-stamped full calf, four raised spine bands, initial and terminal blanks present. Lacking general title-page to Geneva Bible. Apocrypha present. New Testament has separate title page, on leaf *1r, this with woodcut decorative border. Bound towards the rear: "Tvvo right profitable and fruitfull concordances, or large and ample tables alphabeticall... Collected by R.F.H." - has separate undated title page and register. Floriated initials and decorative tailpieces. Tables and musical notation in final part [Book of Pslams]. Condition: Binding secure, the hinges intact, some light rubbing to extremities and abrasions to boards. Lacking the general title-page to Geneva Bible but otherwise collates complete. Some varying light browning and toning throughout, a few thumb marks. Inking confined to blanks and title inscriptions. Slightly trimmed. A wonderful example.
