Publisher's original decorative covers with designs by Jessie M. Binding tight and secure. Trivial marks to covers. Interior very well-preserved with some light browning to endpapers. Contemporary gift inscription to front endpaper.

Some of the Sundials featured are listed as being owned by Sir Frank Crisp of Friar Park, Henley on Thames, later the home of George Harrison. Jessie M. King, the cover designer, was a student at the Glasgow School of Art. She studied under Charles Rennie Mackintosh and after winning an award at the Turin Exhibition for her book binding design, went on to become a collectable book illustrator and jewellery designer.
