Note: This book is a celebration of the three Phantom models built by the original Rolls-Royce car company in the post World War II period - the Phantom IV, Phantom V and Phantom VI. The total production of these three models, spanning just over four decades from the fifties, is fewer than a thousand cars. These are rare reminders of a past in which bespoke, hand-built motor cars of their type were once made. These Phantoms were amongst the last cars from Rolls-Royce to receive custom bodies from such coachbuilders as H. J. Mulliner, Hooper and James Young. The histories of all of these firms are included. Every Phantom built during this time is listed in detail. A work of scholarly passion.
