Hearing Secret Harmonies has neatly price-clipped jacket. Military Philosophers has a corner clipped with printed price present. The price label has lifted from A Question of Upbringing. Temporary Kings complete with award wrapper. Faint foxing to some closed edges, top edges slightly dusty, the interiors largely fresh and clean. Overall a very well-preserved set.
Notes: Eight first printings and four reprints from the 1958 and 1975, all in original Broome-Lynne designed dust jackets. A handsome complete set of this famous series - often a comic examination of movements and manners, power and passivity in English political, cultural and military life in the mid-twentieth century.
