Handsomely rebound in full scarlet calf gilt by Bayntun; raised-ribbed spines gilt tooled in six compartments with contrasting labels, boards with double fillet gilt borders and characters from the stories stamped in gilt on upper boards, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers with gilt tooled turns-ins, frontispieces with tissue-guards. Condition: VERY GOOD. Bindings tight and secure. Minor marks to boards. Light toning to prelims. Previous owner's 1946 gift inscription on versos of front free endpapers. Otherwise a bright set.
