Near contemporary full vellum, title inked to spine, title vignette, capital initials, spaces for capitals with guide letters. Condition: GOOD. Binding secure, contents slightly browned with occasional marks and stains, some underlining and marginalia in early hand.
Notes: Considered an early example of case law history, which contains a list of eminent jurists presented in alphabetical order. Title translated: The story of famous men who have written or taught law in schools and and what period they lived in, arranged in alphabetical order so that students might more easily be drawn towards reading; now for the first time edited in grateful recognition of them by the Mantuan author Marco Mantova Benavides; Perchacinus has gratefully printed them from the ancient library of the convent at Patavium.
