Notes: An edition of John Spalding's (c.1624-1669) history printed for Sir Walter Scott's text publication society The Bannatyne Club; from a collation of two Manuscripts, one in the possession of the Right Honourable Lord Forbes, the other belonging to the Club, and recently purchased from the Library of Garden of Troup; edited by Scott's friend, the advocate James Skene.
