I with a sketch-plan of the tomb at rear; with appendices by Douglas E. Derry, A. Lucas, P.E. Newberry, Alexander Scott, and H.J. Plenderleith in Volume II. Printed by Butler & Tanner Ltd. Notes: Howard Carter (1874 1939) was a British archaeologist and Egyptologist who became famous after discovering the intact tomb of the 18th Dynasty Pharaoh, Tutankhamun (also known as "King Tut"), in November 1922. This is his popular account of his discovery, a work published in three volumes. Offered here are the first two volumes; a third volume was published in 1933.
