Mackenzie (signed on the front pastedown with an ink pallet); five raised spine bands; compartments richly gilt ruled, tooled and lettered; contrasting morocco lettering-pieces in second and third compartments; gilt ruled border on boards and edges; plain endpapers; initial and terminal blanks present; illustrated with seven engraved plates. Edited and printed by James Nichols, London. Condition: Bindings tight and secure, some minor rubbing to extremities, contents largely very clean with some browning and spotting mostly confined to plates. A magnificent and rare set.
