Finely bound in contemporary tree calf; spines with five raised bands, gilt lettering in second and third compartments; gilt frames and inner dentelles; marbled page edges and endpapers. Printed by William Clowes and sons. Condition: VERY GOOD. Binding tight and secure with hinges perfectly intact. A little very light shelf wear to extremities. A touch of light scattered foxing, mostly to endpapers, otherwise the interiors are excellent; vol.1 with a contemporary previous ownership inscription to fep. Excellent and scarce thus.
