Unpublished law manuscript. Fully leather-bound. Size: 20cm x 16cm x 4cm. 190 leaves of English script, with some Latin - entirely manuscript in black ink on quality paper by an accomplished hand, evidently complete, in single column of up to 30 lines in a single hand, pages hand-numbered on rectos and versos, some additional blank leaves, preface at the end. Bound in contemporary vellum over stiff boards, initial and terminal blanks present. Condition: GOOD. Binding secure with some spine wear, slight losses to the ends. Covers somewhat soiled. Interior largely well-preserved with some light toning and thumbing, plus a few ink spots.
Notes: Rare unpublished law manuscript, unattributed, probably written in Scotland in the first quarter of the 18th century. Latest date in the text of 1709, with a signature and date of 1732 written on the front endpaper.
