Stunningly bound in full crushed morocco gilt by Asprey; all page edges gilt; marbled endpapers; with a frontispiece in violet, blue, orange and gold; twenty-four plates in colour or printed on coloured paper and sixty-one text drawings in black and white, all designed by Jean de Bosschère. Condition: NEAR FINE. Contents complete. Binding tight and secure, the hinges and joints perfectly preserved. Just a few very trivial marks to covers. Interior largely fresh and clean, just a few faint spots to prelims. Without previous ownership markings. A beautiful copy.
