Beautifully rebound in full dark green crushed morocco gilt, top edge gilt, other edges uneven, original illustrated endpapers with map design, half-title, the original cloth front cover bound in at the rear. Printed by Jarrolds and sons Ltd. Condition: NEAR FINE. Binding tight and secure with the joints and hinges perfectly intact. Covers immaculately preserved. One or two trivial fox spots but without previous ownership markings.

Notes: First printing, with "First published in 1926" on the copyright page, bound most pleasingly.
