Notes: Rare third edition of this highly influential travel work, written by the notable 'Great Belzoni' and covering Egypt and Nubia. Lacking the atlas volume as is common with this work. Belzoni was a renowned archaeologist, specialising in Egyptian antiquities and perhaps best known for his removal of the bust of Ramesses II to England. The book documents Belzoni's many travels in the region including his discoveries of mummies in their original position and the documentation of the tomb of Seti.
