A wonderful graphite and chalk drawing on board, depicting a famous scene from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, executed by American artist Charles Allen Gilbert, signed bottom left and dated 1899. The image measures 28 inches x 21 inches and is unframed. There is some minor edge wear, however the image remains very well preserved.
