Binding tight and secure. Some light soiling to covers, especially along the spine. Some light browning, mostly to endleaves. Minor spotting to fore edge. Inking to half-title by H. G. Wells. Without dust jacket. Scarce thus.
Note: First edition of H.G. Wells' "deeply moving" tribute to his wife, inscribed by him on the half-title page. The collection was published following the death in 1927 of 'Jane' Wells (Amy Catherine Robbins).
