Handsomely bound in half calf gilt, all page edges gilt, marbled endpapers, 45 engraved plates of female characters - "Engraved, in the most highly-finished manner, from drawings by the first artists, under the direction and superintendence of Mr. Charles Heath" - each followed by a page of dialogue from the featured play. Condition: VERY GOOD. Binding tight and secure, some minor rubbing to extremities. Contents very well-preserved with some faint offsetting and trivial intermittent fox spots, else excellent. Scarce.
