A one-off collection of maps and engraved plates from various nineteenth century sources brought together by an anonymous individual and beautifully bound by Bayntun [-Riviere]. Octavo (235 x 150mm). Unpaginated. Without a title-page and text. 2 coloured maps and 132 engraved plates (some folding and coloured) of the various important views and buildings of Westmoreland including its abbeys, castles, churches, halls, rural and rugged landscapes. Handsomely bound in half leather, spine with five raised bands and gilt lettering in the second compartment, t.e.g., hand marbled pastedowns and endpapers, plates neatly mounted on rectos of heavier stock. Condition: NEAR FINE. A wonderful carefully sourced and presented collection.
