FIRST EDITION. 46 colour collotype plates from photographs, captioned in the upper portion of the image in French and Dari. Housed in the original card wrappers. 15cm x 19.5cm. Condition: VERY GOOD. Side tear to the card casing, the images very well-preserved.

Notes: Scarce pictorial souvenir of Afghanistan during the reign of Habibullah, with views of the many fine buildings and palaces built for the royal family; the various ministries; parks; summer houses in Paghman; winter residences in Jelalabad; hunting scenes with the amir; etc.
