Exquisitely bound in dark green morocco and signed Riviere & Son; five raised bands, spine and both covers beautifully gilt-tooled with stylized Art Nouveau designs consisting of twin line gilt panels and dotted rolls enclosing emblematic centre tools and flower designs (probably lilies) with foliage, the spine lettered in gilt, board edges with a gilt-tooled line, gilt-tooled inner dentelles with floral corner-pieces, dark green silk pastedowns and endpapers, all page edges gilt, half-title, title-page in red and black. Condition: FINE. The binding is near pristine, bright and clean with almost no wear. The contents are suited to the binding, notably crisp and bright with no spotting and no previous ownership marks.
