Page numbers are enclosed within brackets, there is a press figure 2 on p.16, and there is no colophon. Condition: GOOD to VERY GOOD. Binding tight and secure. Very slight creasing to spine and rubbing to gilt. Interior largely fresh and clean, with a few corners turned, slight edge erosion to final textual leaf just touching text and lacking the rear endpaper, else very good and a rare survivor.

Notes: This copy with the earliest state of the title page ("miniature" misspelled "minuiture") and with no imprint at the base of the last page. "The famous Newbery Bible, which itself is a only a copy of the miniature Bible issued by Harris a few years earlier [1771]. The engravings are of a very modest qulaity and the main claim to fame of this edition is probably that it was issued by the famous publishers of so many distinguished children's books" (Spielmann, 17).
