First edition, leather-bound, hardcover, octavo (18.5cm x 11cm x 4.5cm), pp. [8], 552 + 28 plates; English text in double columns. Bound in later full calf, smooth spine with morocco lettering-piece, gilt frames and lettering to boards. Appendix to rear followed by 28 leaves of plates. Condition: GOOD. Rebacked retaining the boards, new endpapers. Lacking frontispiece (?), 28 (of 29?) medical plates present, light toning, some ink staining to plates. Extremely scarce. [ESTC T113419].
