Notes: Rare first edition, the classic work by Edwin Powell Hubble (1889-1953) who is considered to be 'the foremost observational astronomer of the twentieth century and one of the most influential scientists of all time in changing our understanding of the universe. ' He presented his prestigious Silliman lecture at Yale in 1935 and it was published the following year as 'The Realm of the Nebulæ'.
