Hardcover. First edition. Leather-bound. Oblong folio (280 x 405mm). Unpaginated. 28 tissue-guarded views printed on one side with descriptive letterpress opposite. Engraved from drawings by J. Farington. No title as issued, starts with plate list at front. Bound in contemporary half-calf with marbled paper boards, gilt titling to spine. Bound in at the rear are 7 colour maps, including a large folding map of England and Wales and smaller maps of Northumberland, Cumberland, Westmoreland, Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cheshire. Condition: GOOD to VERY GOOD. Binding secure with some rubbing to extremities, contents well preserved with some light intermittent foxing but this avoids the engravings which are very clean, large folding map with some backing repairs. Rare.
