Shoulder- and foot-notes Condition: GOOD to VERY GOOD. Binding tight and secure with the spine neatly rebacked - retaining the original boards, with mild rubbing to extremities. Contents largely fresh and clean with very faint scattered foxing. An exquisite example.

From the introduction - "In editing the Memoirs of those who were closely associated with the latter days of the Martyr King, I have endeavored to enhance their interest by making a complete pictorial record of the various actors and scenes described; and secondly, to make them them clearer by prefixing a short itinerary or diary of the King's movements from April 27, 1646 until the final scene at Whitehall, thus fixing dates where they are often missing in the Memoirs themselves."
