FRAMED ILLUMINATED INITIAL FROM A MEDIEVAL CHOIRBOOK

An original illuminated initial cut from a choirbook, Italy, circa 1400 AD. High quality and depicting a saint holding a palm leaf and bible, with red staves to reverse. Measuring c.11 x 9 cm. Beautifully presented in a 19th century giltwood frame, 24 x 26 x 5 cm. Very good overall condition.
