Medieval Illuminated Manuscript Leaf

An original single leaf from a Book of Hours, Northern Europe (France), circa 1470, fine vellum, 175 x 120mm, 29 lines in double-column on both sides, Latin text in brown and red ink, neat gothic book-hand, an historiated initial plus decorative initials burnished in gold on red and blue ground, illuminated decorative foliate-panel border to fore margin incorporating creatures, surrounded by vividly coloured flowers, leaves and fruits. A finely executed leaf in remarkably good condition.
