Beautifully bound in leather and elaborately gilt ruled, tooled and lettered, inner gilt dentelles, all page edges gilt, yellow pastedowns and endpapers, plates protected with tissue-guards. Nice armorial ex-libris plate to front pastedown belonging to Edward Milsom. The plates include views of 'The Cathedral (Madre Chiesa) at Palermo', 'Strada St. Giovanni, Valetta, Malta', 'The Marina of Valetta, Malta', 'Town and Harbour of Bathiu, Ithaca', 'The Ruins Of Carthage', 'Gibraltar from the Signal Tower", 'Ruins at Sbeitlah, Tunis', 'Naples from the Villa Falconnet', 'The Port of Messina', 'Grecian Temples at Segesta', etc. Condition: VERY GOOD. Collated complete, binding tight and secure - the hinges perfect, some very minor fading to covers, couple of leaves with some browning but largely very clean, a handsome copy.
