Bound in publisher's original green cloth gilt; supplied with the original unclipped dust jacket priced '7/6 Net' on spine and with '117th Thousand' on rear flap; top edge gilt; other edges uneven; illustrated endpapers with map design. Printed by Jarrolds and sons Ltd. Condition: VERY GOOD. Binding tight, secure, and square, the covers and contents beautifully preserved being near fine, the usual off-setting to the endpapers, dust jacket with slight discolouration and chipping at spine ends, without previous ownership markings. An excellent copy.
Notes: Rare first British edition, first printing, with "First published in 1926" on the copyright page, and supplied with the correct first state dust jacket showing the requisite '117th thousand' to first line of the rear inner flap and the '7/6 Net' price to the spine.
